What we collect, and what we don't

PawHours is a neighbourhood app for arranging pet care between
neighbours. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do
about it.
What we collect
- Account details — name, email, and a password, stored
hashed. We cannot read it back.
- Optional profile fields — phone number, date of birth
(used only to confirm you are 18 or over), a short bio, a profile
photo.
- Your location — your home's position, taken from your
phone's GPS when you set up your profile, and used only to work out
how far you are from other members. Other members only ever see your
city, never your exact location.
- Pet details — name, species, breed, and any care notes
you add, such as medical needs or a vet's contact. Visible only to a
caregiver you arrange care with.
- Messages, bookings and reviews exchanged with other
members through the app.
- Basic diagnostics — app version, device type, the screen
you were on — only if you choose to send a bug report, and the app
says so on screen first.
What we don't do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not share your data with advertisers.
- We do not run background checks on members — see the app's
Safety Centre for what that means for you.
- Nothing you enter is used for anything outside running
PawHours.
Your rights
From Your data in the app, at any time:

Everything we hold about you, as a file you can keep.
Close my account
Removes your name, photo and contact details. Bookings you shared
with someone else stay in their history without you in them — we
cannot delete someone else's records — and your PawHours balance
closes with the account.
Security
Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Closing your
account revokes every active session immediately.
Children
PawHours is for people 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data
from anyone younger.
